Dear IOCS Members,

The MLA IOCS Committee will join the Our Oceans, Cruise Lines & Passenger Ships, and Regulation of Vessel Operations, Safety, Security & Navigation Committees aboard the SS JEREMIAH O’BRIEN at Pier 35 in San Francisco on Thursday, October 19th from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. (Pacific).

  • João Ribeiro-Bidaoui, General Counsel & Director of Global Public Affairs, The Ocean Cleanup, will present “Beyond Boundaries: Navigating Legal Obstacles to Combat Legacy Plastic Pollution in International Waters”
  • Emily Rose, CDR, USCG, will provide an overview of recent legislative changes on Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment (SASH) and a brief regulatory update
  • Charles DeLeo, Chair of Cruise Lines & Passenger Ships, will moderate a panel addressing “Planning and Preparing for the Unexpected – Putting a Successful Response Team in Place”
