BOATING BRIEFS, the newsletter of the Committee on Recreational Boating Spring 2015

A few days ago I was inspired by exploring the new website to publish/republish the Spring 2015 Boating Briefs from the Recreational Boating Committee on the committee page; however, I find that there is a separate sub group for the Boating Brief so here it is again.

Of particular interest are the U.S. Coast Guard’s initiative to develop American National Standards for recreational boating,which would include on the water testing, and a related initiative by organizations involved in recreational boating education to explore the creation of a specialized OUPV license for boating instructors as part of a National System of Standards for Recreational Boat Operation.
