Dear Committee Members: As you may have already heard, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are holding “virtual” Committee Meetings this year. For IOCS, we will be using Zoom as the platform with audio/video chat. The meeting will take place on April 29, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We have speakers lined up including Fred Kenney, Legal Director of the IMO, Captain Joe Kramek, Jeff Bray and Lt. Nat Eichler of the US Coast Guard. We will have sub-committee reports from CMI (Chris Davis/John Kimball), UNCLOS (Alice Colarossi) and Chris Hannan on the CMI Convention project. We also have arranged a special appearance by Doug Burnett to give us an update on activities at MARAD. Phil Buhler will address the committee on Polar Code/Arctic Issues and Dieter Schwampe will present on EU Recycling Regulations.
