What a great joint committee meeting in Bermuda, using every bit of our allotted two hour time slot! Thanks to Kent Roberts and Jason Pedigo for their presentations discussing marine casualty reporting requirements and recent cases in which the requirements proved challenging. We also were fortunate to hear a presentation from, among others, Capt. P.J. McGuire of the USCG on Jones Act US citizenship requirements and Sean Houseal on the recent Deepwater Horizon-US Government settlement. Both of their Powerpoint presentations, along with Kent’s paper and Jason’s Powerpoint, are posted here on our committee page. We also thoroughly enjoyed the thought-provoking presentation by Dave Sump on the new peer-to-peer boating economy, or Airbnb for boats. We should have minutes posted shortly.
