Napa MLA Cruise Lines And Passenger Ships Committee Agenda (Fall 2017 Meeting)

Dear All:

Please see attached, MLA Cruise Lines and Passenger Ships Committee Agenda for our upcoming meeting on October 19, 2017 at the Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, CA. The meeting will start promptly at 2:00 pm and will end at 3:15 pm.

Our meeting will include a discussion of the Costa Concordia shipwreck from the perspective of three surviving passengers who were on board at the time of the incident. We have also invited the U.S. Coast Guard to discuss current regulations governing emergency response, passenger and crew evacuations in the event of a shipwreck. Finally, we will hear a presentation on shipboard medical malpractice claims in the aftermath of the Eleventh Circuit decision in Franza v. Royal Caribbean.

CLE credits will be offered.
